Hi! I’m Dhvani Patel

Licensed Therapist & Founder of Mya Mental Wellness

I’m a licensed therapist with more than ten years of clinical experience providing evidence-based care to individuals, couples, and families. My work across schools, outpatient centers, and community mental health has given me the privilege of supporting a wide range of clients—including children, families, at-risk youth, individuals with developmental disabilities, and couples.

Throughout these experiences, I’ve seen time and again the profound impact of healthy attachment, holistic healing, and strength-based therapy.

My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, navigate challenges, and feel supported in your healing. I’m here to help you reconnect with your inner strength, cultivate deeper self-love, and move toward a more fulfilling life.

I believe you should leave every session feeling heard, understood, and empowered.

My Therapeutic Approach

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Notice and shift the thought patterns that keep you feeling stuck.

Motivational Interviewing
Reconnect with your own voice and what truly matters to you.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Manage big emotions and find balance when life feels too heavy.

Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction
Return to the present and learn how to focus on the positive.

Solution-Focused Therapy
Take small, intentional steps toward the life you want.

Areas of Specialization

Helping you navigate life’s unique challenges.

  • Healthy relationships take work, and sometimes you need a neutral space to reconnect.

In couples and relationship therapy, we’ll focus on improving communication, understanding emotional needs, and rebuilding trust. Whether you’re newly married, navigating conflict, or feeling distant, this space helps both partners learn to listen, repair, and grow together.

  • When emotions feel too big to manage, they can take over your relationships, work, and sense of self.
Through emotional regulation therapy, you’ll learn to identify triggers, process intense feelings, and respond instead of react.

We’ll use practical tools from DBT and mindfulness to help you build calm, control, and compassion, for yourself and others.

  • Trauma doesn’t always come from one event, it can be woven through generations.
This work helps you understand how past experiences and inherited patterns shape the way you think, feel, and connect.

Together, we’ll unpack those cycles, process the pain safely, and help you build new patterns rooted in security and self-worth.

  • Fertility struggles, pregnancy, and the postpartum period can bring unexpected waves of grief, guilt, and identity shifts.

This space supports you through the emotional side of these transitions, whether you’re coping with loss, navigating motherhood, or figuring out who you are while caring for others.

  • Grief isn’t something to get over, it’s something to move through.

Together, we’ll make space for both the pain and the healing, so you can carry your memories forward with compassion and peace.

  • When you’ve been carrying too much for too long, it’s easy to lose sight of yourself.

We’ll explore the patterns that led to burnout and help you reconnect with your needs, boundaries, and inner voice. The goal isn’t just rest, it’s rebuilding self-trust so you can move forward grounded and renewed.

  • Change can be both exciting and destabilizing, new jobs, moves, marriages, or endings all reshape how we see ourselves.

In this work, we focus on helping you find stability in transition, process uncertainty, and create meaning in new beginnings. It’s about learning to adapt without losing yourself.

  • Anxiety and depression can make everyday life feel heavier, more confusing, and harder to navigate. They affect how you think, how you show up, and how much energy you have left for the things and people you care about. When worry feels constant, when motivation drops, or when your inner world feels unpredictable or exhausting, therapy gives you a steady place to understand what’s happening and get relief.
